Zero pain, total trust
I am just day 2 post rhinoplasty, face lift + temporal lift, dimpleplasty today but I am already happy not just of the partial results i am seeing but also from my general experience pre-operative, intra-operative, and even immediately post op.
Pre-op: Doc Joyce gave me plenty of information during my pre-op consultation online- which gave me some keypoints for my own research. It is important to also do your own studies so it is easier to understand whats going to happen. Doc Joyce gave me the chance to show her my “peg” but honestly, i trusted her more than the peg i created in my thoughts because she is an ENT as well and ive done my due deligence and saw all her past work and i was happy with what i saw.
Intra op: my anesthesiologist explained the process of the iv sedation to me. He explained what meds will be given. I am a nurse so it was important for me to know this. I was asleep all through out and was told i was laughing some time during my sleep, must be dreaming. It was an out of this world experience like i was time travelling. I briefly woke up during the osteotomy but ZERO pain and that was something considering I have terribly low pain tolerance.
Post op: straight after the operation, they woke me up and gave me plenty of time to recuperate. They gave me a piece of sponge cake as i was fasting for the procedure and was given pain relief before i left. I left approx 30 mins post surgery but patients are welcome to stay longer if needed.
Over all, in retrospect, i didnt know why i was so anxious pre-op when there was really no need to be anxious about. Over-all, id give them a 200 out of 100 satisfaction, if such rating is possible!
